Ms. Hunter has done a wonderful job of showing both sides of [Sarah and Phillip's] relationship. We see Sarah's insecurities, inhibitions, fears and the need to experience truly mind blowing climaxes, and Phillips need to be dominant, the raw animal lust that he keeps so tightly controlled and the vulnerable side that has been hurt in the past. Get out the fire extinguisher, ice water, toys and turn the air conditioner on low because this book will make you sweat with desire. These two burn up the pages with their sex play and bondage games. But this story isnt just about lust and bondage, it is about two people who come to love each other. It shows how a true lifestyle BDSM relationship is a power exchange between partners. Ms. Hunter also shows that there must be respect, compassion, and communication for this type of relationship to grow and flourish. I hope that Ms. Hunter will write other stories along these lines.
SECRET SUBMISSION is a one of kind book. It explores the fundamentals of a true lifestyle BDSM relationship, without the humiliation and indignities that so many of this genre comprises. Ms. Hunters excellent characterization, powerful and passionate love scenes, and her ability to provided a intimate look at two people searching for a lasting, loving relationship are a few of the reasons that I felt this book deserved the Gold Star Award.

I enjoyed this book tremendously, but it is not for everyone. Secret Submission involves a complete exchange of power between Sarah and Phillip. Phillip is a loving, considerate dominant, but his need for control goes beyond sexual domination. He wants to dominate Sarah in every way possible. He requires her complete and total surrender to him. Sarah struggles with giving up her independence, but knows in the end, it is ultimately her choice. There was incredible passion between these two characters as Sarah discovers her need to be dominated. The pace is very quick, and I found it difficult to put this book down. It's a little difficult to imagine so much changing in one woman's life so quickly, but Diana Hunter does an outstanding job of describing a true and loving relationship involving a complete power exchange. This book's eroticism comes from the very detailed and frequent bondage and domination scenes that are drawn out for pages. Some of these scenes are fairly intense, but there are no intense punishment scenes. If you like the BDSM genre, you'll love Secret Submission.

SECRET SUBMISSION is not for the weak or righteously feminine. It is a striking, intense story of a woman's quest to find herself through her lover's hands. Diana Hunter has written a different kind of story that takes the reader step by step through Sarah's transformation into the woman that completes her. Phillip is a gentle but demanding man, never cruel or unfeeling in his domination over Sarah.
Readers need to be cautioned that this story is graphic, and some content can be shocking and uncomfortable. But despite that, it is a great story, though a bit tedious at times. SECRET SUBMISSION explores Sarah's struggle to be dominated and also live the independent life she craves. Phillip helps her on her journey to discover a balance between the two, and also to nurture the love and partnership growing between them.
The story centers mainly on Phillip and Sarah, but readers also come to understand the two better through their encounters with both friends and strangers. SECRET SUBMISSION, despite its intense theme and content, is a wonderful and romantic story.

SECRET SUBMISSION is the story of a strong, independent woman who has to learn to give total control over to a handsome hunk of man. Phillip is very likeable; he is very patient with Sarah as she learns to be his partner. Sarah is a great character; she struggles with giving up her independence. But that doesn't stop her learning to love again with Phillip. This is one of the best done BDSM that deals with romance, in my opinion. I will be looking for Ms Hunter's other novels. Highly recommend if you like BDSM.
